Steel Fire Door Ratings Explained

Fire door ratings indicate how long a door can resist fire and smoke. Steel fire doors offer the widest range of ratings available, making them suitable for the most demanding environments:

FD30 – 30 minutes fire resistance — suitable for lower-risk compartmentation
FD60 – 60 minutes fire resistance — commonly used in larger commercial buildings
FD90 – 90 minutes fire resistance — for higher-risk environments
