The challenge

The school needed to be certain that its fire doors were up to standard.

Some had been in place for years and showed signs of wear, while others lacked clear certification. With safety and compliance as top priorities, the Education Trust required a swift and expert review across the entire site.

Our approach

We carried out a full inspection of every fire door in the school, checking for condition, certification, and proper function.

Where doors could be repaired, we carried out works to bring them up to FD30s standard. Others were replaced entirely with new, fully certified fire door sets. All work followed BM TRADA Q-Mark procedures to ensure compliance.
Our team worked efficiently to complete the job with minimal disruption to the school day. Clear communication with site staff helped to coordinate access and keep the school running smoothly throughout the work.

The outcome

The school now has a complete set of compliant fire doors in place, with each one certified and fit for purpose.

The Education Trust can be confident that the site meets current safety standards and that the building is better protected in the event of a fire.
