Protecting Both Residents and Properties through Expert Fire Stopping
Protecting homes with passive fire protection is vital to ensure the safety of occupants and minimise property damage.
Residential buildings, from single-family homes to multi-occupancy flats, require robust fireproofing measures to protect occupants.
Plus, the sheer diversity in building structures and materials necessitates a comprehensive approach to fire safety, so that all potential risks are addressed effectively. And after decades in the industry, we’re well placed to do just that.
Our solutions, including fire-rated walls, doors, and compartmentation, are designed to prevent the spread of fire and smoke, providing residents with crucial time to evacuate safely.

The challenges of fire proofing homes and apartments
Home should be a place to rest and relax - but installing passive fire protection can be anything but that.
So whenever we work in residential contexts, we always aim to schedule work during daytime hours, providing clear communication about timelines, minimizing any disruption to residents.
This also extends to the project's completion - after all our installations and repairs, we’ll always make sure to leave your property in the same condition we found it, with no extra mess for you to tidy up.
Adhering to fire safety regulations in residential environments
Most home-fire rules in the UK sit inside Approved Document B of the Building Regulations.
It outlines how to create safe escape routes, stop flames and smoke spreading inside or outside, and make sure firefighters can reach the fire. The parts that apply to houses and flats are collected in Volume 1.
If a block is over 11 metres high (about four-to-five storeys), the newer Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 add tougher checks: every communal fire-door must be inspected at least every three months, and every flat entrance door once a year.
